The Tortue’s distinctive outline frames a chronograph operated by a single pusher. Platinum and a silvered dial keep the composition clear.
A View into the Mechanism
Through the sapphire case back, the manually wound calibre 1928 MC brings the chronograph mechanism into view. Column-wheel construction forms part of its technical character.
This is a useful second perspective on a watch whose shape is so immediately noticeable. The case establishes the first impression, while the movement gives the collector more to explore.
One Point of Control
A single pusher operates the chronograph, giving its use a particular sequence and keeping the control concentrated in one place. On the dial, small seconds and elapsed minutes balance each other across the centre.
Applied Roman numerals and blued steel pomme hands retain a recognisable Cartier character. The chronograph adds function while working within that established visual language.
Colour in the Details
The silvered opaline dial and platinum case create a restrained setting for small accents of colour. Blued hands and a ruby cabochon crown provide points of distinction within it.
Two interchangeable alligator straps accompany this example, in burgundy and grey. They offer different ways to present the same watch while keeping its shaped case and dial at the centre.
